Since July 2017 ‘Knowledge Management News & Resources’ is used to disseminate content previews from the Knowledge Management Education Hub and jaegerWM, both owned by the editor Boris Jaeger.

Aim of this Blog (2006 – 2008)

‘Knowledge Management News & Resources’ is edited by Boris Jaeger (jaegerWM). The aim of this blog is to provide a broad bunch of the latest stuff in Knowledge Management from a single source. In doing so it is intended to give you a more complete picture on current issues in Knowledge Management, to facilitate your time consuming search for relevant stuff in the field, and to minimize your subscriptions to various sources helpful for Knowledge Management.

The blog is supplemented by additional services like a KM Events Calendar, a list of Blogs2Read, and the KM-Links/Bookmarks (see blog sidebar).

‘Knowledge Management News & Resources’ is totally non-commercial, which means that no money is earned by offering this service. In order to publish the content of third parties for free it was agreed to list them as content providers.


Besides on updates on popular resources, that are well known in the community, one will also get hints to resources that are not easy to locate and therefore not that popular but as valuable as the popular ones. However, as the field of Knowledge Management is profoundly interdisciplinary and is rapidly gaining in importance in almost all social and economic areas, for sure there are/will be some important missing peaces.  If you know about such stuff do not hesitate to contact the editor of ‘Knowledge Management News & Resources’ to add them or maybe you would like to participate.


‘Knowledge Management News & Resources’ contains English- and German-language news an resources. For those who are not familiar with the one or the other language but might be interested to stay informed about the entries written in the non-familiar language the entry titles are translated with a link through which the content of the corresponding entry will be translated.


Comments should be used to point the readers to additional (older) resources related to the content of the entry as well as reviews about the entry (i.e. article-, book-, product reviews, blog entries etc.). Following examples of:


Readers of ‘Knowledge Management News & Resources’ have the possibility to obtain blog entries via rss feed or via e-mail.

Additional Services

Apart from blog content readers also can access additional services which are the:

  • KM Events Calendar – a broad source containing conferences of interest to the community. Note that entries into the calendar will not be announced in ‘Knowledge Management News & Resources’ till now. Sole exception are some calls for conference papers.
  • Blogs2Read @ Bloglines – a comprehensive list of weblogs related to Knowledge Management currently containing 138 feeds (02/2007). Feeds can be exported. This list will be updated regularly. It is provided as entries form other blogs will not appear in ‘Knowledge Management News & Resources’. However, one can point to other blog entries by leaving a comment. Of course the entries have to relate to the content.
  • KM-Links/Bookmarks @ – a fast expanding collection of categorized and commented interesting links currently containing 158 entries (02/2007). Updates on the collection will be announced in ‘Knowledge Management News & Resources’ and archived in the category ‘Links’. The link list of ‘Knowledge Management News & Resources’ will only be updated on occation.


Almost all content in ‘Knowledge Management News & Resources’ is courtesy of third parties (see Content Providers), even if not apparently indicated. Upon request, it was allowed to be published here.
