EDITOR’S NOTE
As the year draws to a close, KM practitioner and editor of the Mumbai special interest group on KnowledgeBoard.com, Alakh Asthana, looks at what’s now in store for one of the up and coming regions for knowledge management in ‘Future roadmap of KM in Asia’.
Meanwhile, as we weather the storm of the credit crunch, Jean Ferre explains how enterprise search tools can help improve your company’s most important asset in ‘Searching for the light: KM in a recession’. The high costs of fruitless searches are also explored in an article by Ted Cocheu, who suggests we should be ‘Switching on to video-powered KM’.
Elsewhere, in chapter two of his serialised guide, ‘Improved collective performance: Investing in Web 2.0’, Peter Bond looks at how individual success can lead to better collective performance.
And in the final blog spot, we go back to a classic video where KM gurus Larry Prusak and David Snowden ponder an age-old question that is going to be just as important for 2009: ‘Is KM dead?’.

Best wishes for the new year!
