[Deutscher Titel: KnowledgeBoard Newsletter #157, 12/2008 (Text übersetzen: Deutsch)]

KnowledgeBoard 157 – 03 December 2008
http://www.knowledgeboard.com - Your Global KM Community

EDITOR’S NOTE
As the year draws to a close, KM practitioner and editor of the Mumbai special interest group on KnowledgeBoard.com, Alakh Asthana, looks at what’s now in store for one of the up and coming regions for knowledge management in ‘Future roadmap of KM in Asia’.
Meanwhile, as we weather the storm of the credit crunch, Jean Ferre explains how enterprise search tools can help improve your company’s most important asset in ‘Searching for the light: KM in a recession’. The high costs of fruitless searches are also explored in an article by Ted Cocheu, who suggests we should be ‘Switching on to video-powered KM’.
Elsewhere, in chapter two of his serialised guide, ‘Improved collective performance: Investing in Web 2.0′, Peter Bond looks at how individual success can lead to better collective performance.
And in the final blog spot, we go back to a classic video where KM gurus Larry Prusak and David Snowden ponder an age-old question that is going to be just as important for 2009: ‘Is KM dead?’.

Best wishes for the new year!

KnowledgeBoard Newsletter #155, 11/2008

[Deutscher Titel: KnowledgeBoard Newsletter #155, 11/2008 (Text übersetzen: Deutsch)]

KnowledgeBoard 155 – 05 November 2008

EDITOR’S NOTE

Web 2.0 was big on the agenda last month as KnowledgeBoard.com attended the Practical Applications for Business Benefit conference in London. Matt Henkes gives his first day highlights in the ‘Blog Spot’, while I look at speaker Suw Charman-Anderson’s tips on how we can move away from over-stuffed inboxes in ‘Boxed out: Using Web 2.0 to ease email overload’.
In part one of his new guide, ‘Improved collective performance: Investing in Web 2.0′, Peter Bond also tells us how to get the most out of social tools through KM and the principles of the learning organisation.
Elsewhere, according to leadership guru Peter Adair, there is no such thing as a born leader – truly successful leadership is influenced by Western, Eastern and tribal traditions, and fuelled by group dynamics. He discusses his thoughts on how we can tap into this knowledge base.
And in the final part of the series on knowledge transfer, we look in-depth at three successful, practical case studies from active academic partner The University of Wolverhampton in ‘Head to head: KTP at work’.

Kind Regards,
